Vehicles like this rely on a host of (ridiculous to most of us) things to keep the highest value, but frankly if you've driven it one mile, it has lost 'prestige' to some of the snooty types, lol. While not 'rare', they are fairly unique and thus have their following. Not too often you find a 700 hp pickup truck!

You say "Ford is going to start a motor break down":. Who is "Ford"? Hopefully not the same dealership you have had problems with? I've had vehicles that eclipsed the ability of normal service departments simply due to rarity of the vehicle due to age, features, etc...and one simply HAS to find the right place to do the work. If I had your Shelby, you can bet I'd not trust it to just anyone.
Keep us posted on the progress and good luck!
I would consider them rare, 300 made per model year. 200 4x4 and 100 super snake. I am unfortunately stuck with this deal just because of remote area and I would at least have it a place that I can go check on it. The main issue with dealership was communication and its addressed and fixed today. They will give me a call with every update and minimum call every night to let me know what happened that day.

The engine tear down will result in a fix or replacement but it will take some time. Your truck will still have a high value even with new or reman parts. 50 years from now you and I probably won’t be around to worry about concours condition or matching numbers but I feel your pain, you have a special truck and the attachment is real.

Good luck and keep us posted on the progress, 700 hp..wow!!!!!
I agree, this is my forever truck.... well at least i told my wife that. Though it's frustrating it's still an amazing truck and i buy to enjoy. I drive it daily, take it off road, haul dirt, it's a truck! And when it comes to driving, my God it's truly an incredible experience. The one complaint I do have is they didn't put a boost gage.
