Default HELP: Level Kit...Is this normal?

Guys,

I just got done installing my level kit. It was a 2" kit Motofab. Typical spacer that gets put on top of the strut.

Couple questions.

It sounds like I have on some Mud Terrain tires now. Other than an alignment, I am not sure what it could be. It gets louder as I go faster. Could it be anything else. I have the stock tires on right now FYI.

I did not have a spring compressor and I couldnt get the strut to rotate....I read on here where some people just put the drivers strut on the passenger and passenger strut on the drivers side. instead of rotating the strut 180 degrees at the top...That's what I did. Should I not have done that?

Alignment performed after install? Did you loosen/remove axle(s) during install?

I have not done and an alignment yet I mean to take it to a shop to do that so that was why I asked if that could be the cause. I did however loosen the axles to help drop the upper control arm or whatever it is called

Quite possibly the alignment, toe is gonna be all kinds of jacked, causing the tires to drag more than roll.

Absolutely. Different camber and caster from that, and from the lift toe. You're just in desperate need of an alignment lol

Something is off. There shouldn't be any additional noise that you didn't have before. Just wish I could tell what would cause it. Hard to say without hearing it.

This is reaching a bit but do you have the Air Dam on?

For all of those who this may happen to....it turned out to be the Locking Hub Actuator, basically the vehicle uses vacuum when the truck turns on to unlocked the hub (so that the front wheels spin freely, without the axle). which is why there was a droning / whining noise when I was driving. I tightened up my axle too tight, which i believe cracked the assembly thus breaking the vacuum seal.

What was the fix / who floated the bill?

Glad you found the issue. Hating when there's a noise and no clear answer if found.
