Default Help with incentives

Hi All

I've been lurking here and researching for a long time and finally am going to pull the trigger on a 2018 F150 Platinum (first truck ever for me too).

I was wondering if anyone can help me understand how incentives work when doing a factory order. I have an x-plan pin but am trying to get the best deal.

I am in Canada BTW. Currently here is what is available:

A-Plan (employee pricing) ($9500 discount off $77k MSRP)
$1500 delivery allowance
$1000 Costco discount

Employee pricing ends Oct 2nd. After this I am guessing I will get:

X-plan (?? discount, assuming a couple grand less than A plan)
Delivery allowance will probably go up, was $3750 for a long time on 2017 MY
$1000 Costco discount will almost certainly apply

I understand that the best incentives at time of order or delivery apply but they cannot be combined/mixed. If I order now and take delivery after Oct 2nd, will I still get A-plan price but the better of the two delivery allowances? Or will I have to revert to X-plan with the new delivery allowance? If it's the latter I am guessing the pricing will be about a wash. I'm not sure if employee pricing counts as an incentive or if this only applies to delivery allowance, Costco discount etc.

Of course no guarantees that the delivery allowance will go up.

I have an appointment on Saturday to test drive a 2018 3.5 and 5.0. Of course I will ask the dealer the above question but wanted to check here first.

Thanks all for your help.

Its my understanding that you will get what incentives that are available at the time of order. I'm from Canada as well, and just priced out a 2018 Platinum as well. Still not sure if I'm going to go ahead with it, as my current F 150 hasn't given me a reason to deal.

It's not A-plan, it's a promo giving you employee pricing, which is A-plan numbers. That promo has rules. The rules on Ford's site say the vehicle has to be "delivered or factory ordered from your participating Ford dealer during the Program Period". It states that the Program Period is July 1, 2017 through October 2, 2017. So you should be good, which the dealer can confirm.

I ordered my Lariat back in early July and am expecting delivery shortly after October 2nd, but the dealer confirmed I'm locked into the Employee Discount, Costco credit, etc.

Some sort of rebate that Ford gives back at the time of purchase. In Canada it's currently $1500 on the 2018 F-150. On the 2017's it's something like $3750 right now.
