Default Help identify and correct please

I have these leaky sensors on my 2016 3.5l na engine. Been trying to figure out what they are and if I they just need o rings. Was thinking about ordering an assortment of orings and hope I get the right one. I look up cam position sensors on ford parts sites and nothing looks like it. Id remove it but I suspect Id completely destroy the oring. thanks in advance.

Those are the VCT (Variable Camshaft Timing) solenoids. The recommended way to change the seal is to pull the valve cover off.

Here is the seal.

I have not actually changed these seals so I can only go by the WSM. You might try to change them without pulling the cover. After all, the seals are not too expensive.

I believe the part number is BR3Z-6C535-A.

Yeah but I may mess something up in the process. Do you subscribe to the ford manuals? Wondering where those wonderful diagrams came from. Looks very expensive.

I have a copy of the Ford Workshop Manual. There are many threads on here about where and how to get one. For what it is worth, I got mine here:

https://www.factory-manuals.com/ford-28

Prices have gone up considerably since I bought mine.

You can also go here and download the files yourself with the 72 h subscription.
