Default Help!!!!

I was installing an amp and I saw that a good way to get power to turn the amp on and off was through the passenger fuse box. The video I saw suggested wrapping the wire around the fuse and putting the fuse back in its spot.

I did this and it did not work well. I removed the wire and replaced the fuse. Now I do not have power windows or locks, no dash display or lights, no radio, heat or air conditioning!! I check the fuses and they all seem to be good.

Does anyone have any advice ????

Try pulling your battery cables off, let it set for a few minutes & reinstall them. This will reset your computer modules in the vehicle.

First I will say, why are you cutting corners on a $30,000-$50,000 truck. Do it right or don't do it.

Now, first I'd try unhooking the battery for a while and hoping that resets something. If that doesn't work, I'd try looking at the fuse block under the hood and see if you blew something there. Look really good at the fuses, I've seen blown fuses that barely look any different than a good one.

Learn your lesson and do it right the first time

I disconnected both battery terminals and no luck. There is another fuse box under the hood but I did not see any fuses listed in the manual in that box that would help.

With that many subsystems out I would lean towards the CJB under the hood under a relay fuse. (Central Junction Box, Upper left passenger side under the hood. Fuse panels *Main).

I agree.. You blew another fuse somewhere. You cannot just look at them as sometimes they look good but meter out bad. always check them with a ohm-meter or equivalent.

Use an add-a-fuse next time. On the 13-14 trucks we used an add-a-fuse at fuse 38 in the passenger kick panel for the remote turn on function. You should still be running power to the amp straight from the battery (fused obviously).
