Default Held For Ransom! :(

So my truck has been sitting on the train at the offload location an hour and a half from my dealer. It has been there since it arrived on May 4th.

Dealer just called saying the docks won't release it for some reason. Dealer said he and his fleet manager are calling corporate to find out what the heck is going on! Dealer said he has never heard of this happening before.

So of course my question is, anyone know what the possibilities are for it being held?

Dealer thought if there is a recall of some kind and they need to do an inspection of some sort?

Ugh!! I am just dyin here...I just want my bad ***** truck I ordered almost 2 1/2 months ago...

Thanks for any responses!

Was it built between March 21-30? My guess is it is involved in the steering recall that was just issued, and Ford wants it inspected before released.

There is a recall for some missing rivets. Likely going to be held if not yet delivered.

Your situation makes me feel a little better. No, not because of your long wait, but because I felt alone seeing guys who ordered way past mine getting their trucks delivered already. We are in the same boat. I ordered mine on 3/2, produced on 4/14 (yeah, long time span!), and awaiting shipment since then. I had an ETA expire on 5/3 although the truck was never shipped, or in transit. For almost two weeks my status on Cotus has been "awaiting shipment" with no revised ETA. Nothing has been updated for the longest time. Worse off yet, my dealer and Ford Service has no idea what is going on. I am really dissatisfied with the way this dealership treats me. At least it seems your dealer is putting forth a real effort in comparison to mine. I feel the pain with you bro.

Mine was awaiting shipment and/or in transit so long (7 weeks if I remember correctly) the regional customer service manager gave me a free 3 year / 45,000 mile maintenance plan.

Might wanna ask...

I have not nearly been waiting as long as you, but similar situation, released from plant, tracked rail car all the way, rail car arrived on Monday, truck still not at dealership. Rail car is heading back east but says it's empty. Trying to follow up at dealership.
