Post Heated/Cooled Center Bench Seat

I ordered a Lariat Scab 501A with heated/cooled front seats (ordered 12/23, received a VIN on 2/4, estimated delivery on 3/8 per COTUS).

I tried searching but cannot find any information on whether the center bench seat includes heating/cooling. Is there anyone with a Lariat 40/20/40 configuration who can clarify?

I have a Supercrew Lariat with 501A (40-20-40) seats and the center seat is not heated.

We have rear heated seats but the middle is not heated! I never understood why they do that ..? I just find it odd and makes no sense to me.

They are counting beans and don't want the added expense. Mostly nobody would notice the difference anyway.

Unless you have 3 kids and one complaints about not having a warm seat! I wish they offered it as an option would definitely pay extra for it!

There are local shops, who can add heated seats for you. The new systems are higher quality, using a carbon fibre element, instead of the meandering wire element. Installed price is in the neighbourhood of $250-350 per seat.

If you are feeling up to the challenge, you can order the kits for $65-100 per seat. There are hundreds of how to videos on Youtube.

They do not cool the rears because of the large apparatus attached to the seat bottom to make this possible. This would be hanging down, getting in the way of under-seat storage, and sticking out further when the seat bottom is folded up. Take a look under the front seats, you can see what it looks like.
