Default Heads Up Display

I've been seeing Navdy advertisements in the past few weeks.

http://www.navdy.com

I've seen a lot of janky stuff out there that people call HUD, but this piqued my curiosity.

Is anyone trying one out? If so, what do you think?

Thanks...

Here is a video review of it in a 13th gen F150. There are lots of video reviews on YouTube. I personally think it's a cool concept but I think it's a bit bulky and I think the glass screen would bug me.

Appreciate...

I may just get one out of curiosity. If so, I'll post my review here.

There are a lot of different systems out there. One of the best ones I've seen is being sold by a seller on Corvette Forum. The dash unit sits pretty flat and it has a stick-on screen that you put on the windshield for the display to reflect against.

My Vette (my 3rd) is a 4LT so it came with head's-up (as did the previous 2) and I've loved it since the first day. I've thought about picking one up for the truck but haven't yet.

Navdy says they are shipping a unit to me today, so I look forward to trying it out.

Now to find a ODB2 splitter... I don't want to give up my Garmin Mechanic.

Surprised Ford didnt include HUD, since they added soo many other cool tech goodies to the new body style!

Like BadAV mentioned, the HUD on the Corvettes is Awesome. Especially on my Dad's 2016 Z06, big jump from the HUD, in his previous 2002 Z06...

http://www.exoticvette.com/

That is his website. The HUD is at the bottom of the page. I have no affiliation with this guy but can say he is absolutely a stand-up guy. I've bought a couple of Vette partitions from him; shipping was always very fast and his communication was excellent. He's been on Corvette Forum as a seller and member for at least the 10+ years I have been there. He goes by Crazy Cowboy if you care to check any of his posts out.

I may still purchase this unit and give it a try. One thing he always does is use the product himself prior to adding it to his website. For this unit he added a piece of rubber trim that wraps around the HUD, so that you get a more finished look with it sitting on the dash. These are the kinds of things he does, I believe because he cares about and takes pride in what he does.
