Default Headlights not projecting?

I have a 2016 crew with LED bulbs in stock halogen buckets. Couple days ago I thought low beams were not working. They are working, but seem to be projecting high. When I change to high beam, they shine very bright 10' from front of truck, not down the road like before. No work has been done recently. Thoughts?

Thoughts are you put a cheap led in a housing made for an incandescent bulb. The light output of a filament is much different than the led you put in there. Oncoming traffic must not like you very much.

What exact LEDs are they?

The LED's Sealight. The bulbs are about a year old.

LED bulbs don't work well with reflectors designed for a very specific incandescent filament.

I do have and believe a well designed LED can duplicate the filament and positioning in a stock reflector. I use Supernova v.3 for 7 years my son DD SL1's for 5 years, both still going strong. Not so sure about Sealight's. One of the ways they get prices down is with low quality electronic drivers.
The problems description sound more in line with aim of the reflector or possible fractured bulb sockets tossing the beam out of focus. KM

Definitely want to get the right combo of housing and bulb. Make sure they are compatible. This has been covered a lot on this forum. There has been many discussions about it (Sorry @2008__XL)

Best option is to go with a projector headlight when you use a higher powered bulb. There is aftermarket versions that work with what you have, but I would consider them finicky and may not give you the results you're looking for.

Im not against them. Just against cheap ones that cause a ton of glare. I use sylvania LEDs and the pattern matches what the incandescent had. I dropped them a tiny bit just to be safe.

I think the biggest thing is to not cheap out on the safety items. I wouldn't trust a chinese knock off seatbelt, so why would I trust cheap lights?

Gotta check that alignment of the headlights. Don't over adjust or you may strip the adjuster or cause it to become disconnected from the bowl its adjusting. Sounds like maybe the bulb may have moved in the socket after a large bump or something. Pull the wheel liners back and pull the rubber boots to check the bulbs are situated properly in the back of the bowls. Pics always help.

"Sealight"... thats your problem... If youre going to go down the road of led in halogen housings, at least get good ones...
