Default Headlights automatically coming on while parked?!?!?!

I have a 2015 Lariat 5.0L and yesterday when walking into the garage the headlights of the truck were on. Then they went off.

The truck was unlocked, and had not been started or driven in 5 days. Just me and the wife, truck had not been touched at all, no opening doors or anything.

The headlight switch was NOT in auto mode, but turned off. The keys were sitting hanging up in my office, untouched.

Anyone ever experienced this before?

Most likely just being friendly and letting you know it missed you....

Good luck trying to get the dealer to find and fix this one..

Maybe so.....I'll mention it when I go to the dealer to get the trans reprogrammed. At least it will be on the official record just in case.

My brother experienced electrical gremlins after letting his car sit for a few days while he was hunting. Turns out mice chewed through some of the wiring. Car was only a few months old.

Maybe mice?

Could be I know that there was one that figured out how to get inside mine,, with acorns over a hundred times and even found out where the sunglasses holder was and put some up there also, along with under the back seat and all over the engine compartment. Lucky for me it had lots to eat so left everything alone..

I'll not be parking under the old oak tree this fall.

Mine is parked indoors, and no sign of critters, thank god. I have 12 vehicles (all parked indoors) and that would be a disaster if critters got in and decided they like wiring.

Was yours out in the rain before this happened?
