Default headlight shut off delay

I've had my new truck now for 3 days and love it! 2.7 engine is great and everything is laid out well.

I have been keeping my headlight swit,h on the "auto" setting and when I park and lock the doors, the headlights/taillights stay on. I figured that was normal for a short time but mine are staying on 5-10 mins (or so it seems). Is there anyway to change the delay time for them?

2016 F150 XLT

Thanks!

How do you change the setting in yours? I'll see if it works on mine.

on the center screen you should be able to arrow over and find were there are setting. go to Advance settings and then to lighting and you should be able to set the delay time there.

hope this helps

Same here on my '15 and it's kind of crazy. 20 seconds is really not enough but 120 is way too long! To me 1 minute is long enough to get in the house etc. Ah well, still a cool feature.

Settings
Advance
Lighting
delay

I believe or something similar. I had to go look after I read this to get the times. as I was unsure of the settings until the ? was asked.

2 mins is still not what the OP was experiencing. So I have a feeling the settings may differ for the 2016's

Thanks for the replies so far. I scrolled through the settings in the center screen last night but it is very possible that I missed the correct selection.
I haven't timed how long the lights have stayed on but it seems longer then 2 mins.

I will check my setting and time the delay when I get home and let you know what I find.

Well this is embarrassing........i do have the delay options on my center screen under "settings", but it doesn't make a difference when the headlights are turn "on" not on "auto"..........no wonder they stayed on do long. Lol.

I guess in the excitement of getting the new truck I didn't notice when I turned the know and assumed it was "auto". Oops!

LOL, It's new. I spent 3 days trying to figure out out how to get the display to show all the gears on it again. It was on when I picked the truck up but somewhere along the way it disappeared. Drove me nuts. I was resetting settings and went thru the menus several times. I ended up coming on here or using google and the it was a simple as the up arrow on the manual shift arrows. Down took it off, Up put it back. Must of turned it off by playing with manual shift.
