Default headlight covers?

hello! we are about to have a big road trip from CA to TX. one of the things im worried about is protecting our morimoto headlights. I seen some "tint" that is peel and stick. i'm looking for a actual cover of sort. I seen AVS has some tinted ones, but i'm worried about getting pulled over on the way there. CA, AZ, NM, TX

Lamin-X has clear film covers for F-150's. I assume the aftermarket lenses has a similar profile as OEM?

i use use it on my Shelby if I am out and about on country roads. I plan on using it on the front of my trailer to keep the bugs and stuff off.
