Default Hazard switch styles?

So I just did the HDC mod and since I don't have 360 video, I now have a 2-button switch and a 1-button switch at the top center of my dash. Similar, but reverse of what is pictured in this post. This kind of messes with my OCD a bit, so it got me thinking... are there other styles of switch available that split the hazard button?

FL3Z-13D730-KA is hazard/360 video. FL3Z-13D730-HA is HDC/TC. I know there are other parts like -EA. Apparently -LA is the hazard/snow-plow option.

Anyone have a different switch? Wondering what to do with this space that would be practical for me. Snow plow kind of looks appealing but I'm not sure what all is involved in adding that to my XLT.

Are you wanting to put just the switch?

Or wanting to actually add the snow plow. If so, tmcolegr has done a complete write-up thread on adding the snow plow on here.

Right now I am just considering what options I have for the space.

Looks like one exists with an "A" symbol. Is the infamous auto start/stop switch? Picture is here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post16981626

When I ordered my HDC button, I also picked up the 360/hazard button because... why not? Well, I just tore down the hazard/360 button because it was ridiculously easy.

Looks like both sides light up and have contacts. The buttons are very modular and are retained with a single clip. This gives me a couple of ideas:

1) It would be possible to make a replacement button that says anything one wants, and it would look VERY stock

2) The switch is basically just a circuit board with a 6-pin header. It would be very easy to make up a replacement PCB that isolates the 360 half of the switch and route them out to some dead-end wires. In other words, you could get access to the right button without any modification to the stock harness. The button could drive a relay for literally anything you would want. And the indicator LED could be driven independently by an external circuit.

The 360 button below looks crappy because I took brake fluid to it, just to see if I could get the camera icon of of it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that indicator lit up.

So that button would be on the passenger side. Could it be for an ejection seat?

Seriously though, that does sound like a good idea.

One could, in theory, do the same for the driver's side pair (traction control / hill descent control). I'm guessing both switches are similar in construction.

I may experiment with a PCB to replace the switch and just see how this pans out.

Basically these switches just send a momentary ground to whatever they are controlling.

They have a ground, illumination, then whatever they need to send a ground to.

@lucas8888 I have a question on these switches. I bought one of these switches to try and make it work on my aftermarket front sensors system. Currently the system has a switch to turn off/on the system that is in the 12V+ line coming from the fuse panel.

Following what you have above, I'm thinking I could remove the 12V+ switch and tie together always hot, then run my ground wire for the system through the OEM switch?

If so, looking at the attached diagram, I could use the violet wire that is designated for the 360 camera to the IPMB, assuming that this wire would dead end somewhere, as I do not have 360 camera IPMB. The wire is in the connector on the back of the switch. If is not connected to anything, any idea where it ends up? Should I run it through a relay?

Any information would be helpful.

The switches only apply a momentary signal. To make it work for your application you would need a non-momentary switch; some other circuitry can accomplish this, like some sort of latching relay.
