Default Having trouble with remote start

Hey guys any help would be greatly appreciated so I have a 2016 f150 Xlt sport with an aftermarket remote start on it (previous owner had it put on) and it worked fine for the first month that I had it then it suddenly stopped working I changed the battery went in to the computer and cleared the code and it still don’t work when I press the lock button 4 times to start it all the flashers just blink 4 times pauses then 10 times I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. thanks for any help

Can you post more info on the remote start that is installed? You might be able to find the controller box for it under the dash behind the OBD connector area. We'll be able to provide more help if we know what we are working with.

ya, youre probably gonna need to figure out the brand to find out what that blink code means. or try a google search remote start and the blink code maybe itll come up

Take a look in the drivers footwell above the pedals and try to identify what remote start you have. Look for box with wires hanging off it that doesn't look factory. It'll probably be zip tied on somewhere and tapped into the OBD-II port. If you can't find it, see if the remote gives any clues. The manual will likely explain what's going on.

Also, what code did you clear? DTC code? If so, is it present again?
The factory remote start will refuse to start if DTCs are present. If the aftermarket system is just triggering the built in remote start function, then a DTC would prevent the start.
