I too went from an '11 PSD to a '15 F150 2.7l EB (by way of a leased Camry &#128556, mostly for the same reasons as the OP. Way too much truck for my needs. The clincher was being able to cash out the equity to help provide a bigger cushion during our house construction.

I much prefer the ride, nimble handling and low end power of the F150, with the back seat cab room being a huge plus. The creature comforts of my '11 were slightly better up front due to the enormous center console, but that's about it. Overall economy is better with the F150, which is mostly due to the lower cost of 87 octane and cheaper oil changes. Oddly enough, fuel economy wasn't drastically different between the two trucks, roughly 2mpg better in the F150.

I've logged millions of miles over the years. Mostly in Superduties. I mixed a few F150s in, but in July I traded a tweaked 2013 F350 Lariat for my 2016 F150 King Ranch. I am 6'-5" and about 250#. Not big, but not small. I LOVE big diesel trucks. After the 36' TT was sold in May, I couldn't see an F350 for a daily driver. The payment, upkeep, fuel cost, mileage, etc. could in no way compete with the new F150. Although I salivate over the 2017 Superduty, every time I look at why I made the switch, it still makes sense. As my daily driver, the ride is hands down better, the cab is the same as the new Superduty, it's cheaper on fuel, cheaper on insurance, literally hauls $&@#% with the 3.5L EcoBoost, and is just a relaxing pleasure to drive. I may go back to the SD next time, but I can't really see it if based upon need. For me right now, it would all be want. Find what you like and take it for a test drive. I think you'll be very pleased with a new F150, unless you tow heavy regularly.

There have been a few posts about more interior space in the F150. That was the case. Now the F150 and F250 are the same cab. If I HAD to replace my F150 today, I'd go with a new F250.

I went with the F150 knowing I wasn't going to be towing heavy for the next 3-5 years. When it comes time to get a new truck though I will be heavily researching the SuperDuty.

The Boat stays at the beach and the upstate NY sledding just got too dangerous so I really don't need the long haul diesel for any towing. It has 72k on it and is in real good condition. I'm awaiting the '017 3.5 EB to arrive so I can drive the new engine/tranny.
I guess my question to all of you out there and please don't judge me.
Am I crazy to want to move into a 150?

YES

Yes and no. I have a twin to your truck!!! 11 F350 KR 6.7 same color bla bla. I also have a 14 F150 LOADED FX4 3.5 silver etc etc. I like both trucks for obvious reasons. They both pull great, but the KR is so much more truck!!!! I have gooseneck hitches in both and use them! also pull a 22' Four Winns with both. Love my eco but the diesel is in a class of its own. Yes the F150 rides better, but I expect the F350 to ride like a truck and I need it to perform like a TRUCK. both get about the same mileage both being leveled and with 33 duratracs on the FX4 and 34 ST MAXX on the KR.

So honestly for me, If I had to pick one. It would be the F350 6.7. because it will do everything I ask it to.

I also just went from a 2011 6.7 KR to a 2016 platinum 5.0 F150. There are definite pros and cons to both trucks. One reason I got away from the diesel was the expensive maintenance. My 6.7 was deleted and tuned so the MPG and power was awesome. I also think the seats were much more comfortable in the F250 vs the new F150. (I frequently drive 7-8 hours at a time and have definitely noticed the new Platinums seats are not near as "cushiony".

The F150 does provide a smoother ride and the room in the backseat is awesome.

To be honest i'm somewhat torn on if I made the right decision.

Super Duty seats were far more comfortable. No question.

Had both..I loved my f250 7.3..different trucks..Both Excellent trucks!!

I miss my 2000 7.3 with Propane and 388 hp 818 ft lbs. it will tow..what trailer?

The 2011 ECO 3.5 would tow 10000lbs. ran with the 7.3..

This is what you get...Better fuel economy..lower cost fuel..NO DEF...Less spent on Maint. and repair..better ride..better braking, better handling, easier to drive in parking lots and city, and you get to put $20000 back in your pocket for mods or other play toys...

That sold me...
