Default Have F250 KR w 6.7, Will I be disappointed w F150?

I am very conflicted. My daily driver past 5 yrs is this 2011 KR w the 6.7 TD. which I have absolutely loved. I just don't need for the heavy towing anymore and some body can actually use this truck for what it was designed for - not running me to the office. The Boat stays at the beach and the upstate NY sledding just got too dangerous so I really don't need the long haul diesel for any towing. It has 72k on it and is in real good condition. I'm awaiting the '017 3.5 EB to arrive so I can drive the new engine/tranny.
I guess my question to all of you out there and please don't judge me.
Am I crazy to want to move into a 150?

F150's are so much nicer to drive. I think you'll be happy.

I think you should buy another 6.7! A 17!

I traded my 07 F250 lariat for a 2015 King Ranch. I am much happier. It drives and rides much better than a 250. If you are already leaning that way, I think you will be happy with the change.

You're not crazy at all. If you don't need that huge truck with a diesel motor, why keep it? The only reason I can think of is financially. You're probably close to paying it off if you haven't already, so now you'd be taking on another loan (assuming you don't have cash). If you're cool with that, I say go for it! My only concern would be a newly upgraded ecoboost motor and a brand new transmission with 10 gears? That would make me a little nervous, but I guess that's what the warranty is for!

I drive both almost every day; in your shoes I would be disappointed if I could only have a 150. I'll pick the Super Duty any day of the week.

Go drive a 16 RIGHT NOW!

There will only be a minor difference with the 10 sp trans. And some folks will have the wait and see if its solid approach to the new 10sp.

Do a long test drive so you can form a decent opinion.....dont let them rush you.

For me, 3/4 ton and up ride like battle tanks with similar mileage. You gotta need one to justify IMO.

If that diesel hasn't already cost you an arm/leg in repairs, sell it soon is my advice.

If you're dead set on the 3.5 w/10spd I'd might wait at least a year to work out the kinks. That's just me.

Off topic, I wish Ford would have kept that brown color. Especially the two tone like yours.

I miss having a 3/4 ton off and on. The F150 feels small in comparison. My wife likes the short wheelbase in parking lots. Fuel economy is no better than I got with my Ram 2500 4X4 diesel. I actually got better towing fuel economy with my Ram. The F150 is a fine vehicle. It's just more car-like than truck-like in my opinion. I'll keep the F150 thru next model year then I'll likely go back to a 3/4 ton. Maybe the rumored 7.0l gasser will be an option by then.
