Default Hammering during level kit install?

This may be a dumb question but here it goes... I'm having a local truck shop install my leveling kit, gotta good buddy who does business with them and got a great deal, so much so that it made me not attempt installing myself. So I'm sitting here and they are beating the hell out of something with a hammer? Doesn't seem like there would be any need on this. Any thoughts? Just want to make sure it's done right. They are breaking the balljoints and tie rod ends loose. It's normal, that's how you do it.

There's a tool for doing that, but a hammer is easier.

The hammer always works...

And if the hammer doesn't work...use more hammer...
