Installation is not as simple as the SL-1 are going to be, but that's because we have a ballast that generates heat so you have to install it outside the cavity. Not really too difficult to do with our ballast relocation kit.

We have a big sale this Black Friday on them if you are looking to upgrade. Now's the time.

Once the SL-1 are out from Diode Dynamics we will have them on our site along with (hopefully) a LAUNCH SALE (we have to get approval from DD on that first though as they control pricing)
The XHP50 led chips will not give you the same focus as a halogen filament in a reflector, it's physically impossible, and they will scatter. A halogen filament is 2mm wide and 4mm long. The XHP50 LED Chip is 5mm x 5mm. A much larger area of light than the filament of which reflectors are designed to focus. They're also 3.6mm thick, which means even back to back, with no board in between them, they're 7.2mm apart. Almost 4 times as wide as a halogen filament. But, there's boards in between, so it's even more than that, which again, ruins the focus.

Our bulbs are so far, the best LEDs on the market to be used in halogen housings. They don't scatter light and mimic the halogen bulbs almost in every way... only more light output.

You can say what you want, it's obvious you are not a fan (some people refuse to just admit that we have a great product... we've had customers just like you who thought negative until they got a chance to try them and then they became big fans), but you're also on your 3rd set of "cheap" LED lights now and continue to have issues. Whereas we have hundreds and hundreds of happy customers with our XHP50 series bulbs who tell us nothing but great things and back up our claims that there is no light scatter and that the output matches the halogens (only as I said, more light output).

All I can say is that on my 13 Lariart I have the Raptor Retro Fit HID and they are good lights, but in my 16 Lariat, I went with the LED lights from 4x4TruckLED becasue Dawson was having issues with the DRL on the 15/16 HID lights and I am happier with the LED lights that the HID lights. just saying

It's not only that. It's also the color. 6500k is too blue, and not good for distance. I would only stick with 5000k or lower. I don't want any blue at all. Even the 6000k's I tried were a little too blue for my liking, and as bright as they were against a wall, their throw proved lacking.

Again, why don't you try ours out. You keep trying all these other products and having problems... why not try something that works and has a big following and tons and tons of great feedback. If you don't like them let us know within 2 weeks and we'll refund you 100% (you have to send the lights back to us of course).

We're having a sale on Black Friday, so that would be the ideal time to get a set.

I get your feeling on the temperature but really they are white and I don't see any blue in the lights at all (I'm not sure why we're told they are 6500k that might actually be wrong based on what i've seen as I don't see ANY blue and let me tell you, i've started at these lights so much I see them in my sleep)

I'm curious to know how the LEDs react to DRL (6VDC). Do they turn ON? flicker? dim??.

Here are our XHP lights you asked for: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/xhp50-se...onversion-kit/

But the vehicle specific ones are here:

http://www.4x4truckleds.com/vehicle-...rd/f-150-2015/

First 3 links show the low beam, high beam and fog lights.

The lights seem to work just fine on 2015 trucks, on some 2016 trucks they require a CANBUS adapter. Typically with LED lights you can't enable DRL but with ours we've had great success with DRL. I've had DRL enabled on my truck since February and no issues and MOST of our customers don't have issues. There are a VERY small % of customers who needed CANbus adapters.

The lights are SLIGHTLY less bright in DRL mode then regular (maybe at 90-95% max). It's hard to tell. I can only tell if I go between DRL and my headlights in the ON position while looking at my trucks reflection. Otherwise, you'd never know.

Does anyone know if the factory 2013 HID projector housings plug into a 2011 with factory halogen housings? I have an opportunity to acquire some. Thanks for any help
