Guidance for installing hidden ignition kill-switch
Hello all,
I have installed "hidden" manual starter/ignition kill-switches on previous vehicles as an additional anti-theft device. I did this for example, by adding a simple switch in series to a critical circuit that was relevant for the starter to work. If moved to the OFF position, the vehicle cannot be started.
I was wondering about your opinion if this still made sense on newer vehicles with modern anti-theft features? If so, would you have any recommendation about where to place one in the overall circuitry? I do have access to wiring diagrams.
BTW, is it against the rules of the forum to post snippets of the wiring diagrams?

There are a couple of older threads on this subject so I would try doing some searches. As far as posting things like wiring diagrams, I would venture to say that almost every other thread has a posting of a electrical schematic or maintenance manual page(s).
Thank you for pointing that out. I did a brief search and couldn't find anything but I will look again.
