I'll be going to Beechmont Ford this Friday to look into purchasing a supercharged RCSB XL model and need some advice on upgrading to the 8" screen. Beechmont said they will not do the install so I'd be on my own.
My first question is for a 2020 do the parts have to come from another 2020 or will anything from 2015 and up work. Also the couple places online I've found that sell complete kits are charging $1900, for the guys that have already done this did you get your parts from a salvage yard or can you order directly from Ford.

I just bought a 2020 sync 3.4 unit last week to upgrade my 2015 sync 2. I ordered mine from https://breeves002.net/ and everything was perfect. He is half the cost of the other sites so I was skeptical but tried anyway and he's legit. Everything was preprogrammed to my vin, any adaptive wires were included, everything was brand new. Took about 20 minutes to install. Plug and play super happy with it.
