Default Is this ground strap important?

Hello everyone,

First time posting here.

my Truck: 2017 f150 XL 2 wheel drive, 5.0 coyote gen 2,

I had to do a bunch of work to get it fixed, and upon removing the passenger side valve cover. That back 8mm nut on the post for the pictured ground strap ended up corroding together and had to cut the strap. Assuming it's no big deal I'll just get another strap.

I'm looking online and I cannot find one anywhere. I can't even find the proper name for it. This is what I think it is, but I can't be certain. Can anyone shed some light?
this is as close as I found

2018-2024 FORD EXPEDITION BATTERY GROUND EARTH STRAP WIRE CABLE FL3T-19A095-AD.

thanks so much for the help

The grounds on the firewall are grounding points for many of the engine sensors. A good ground is very important. The information I have is Engineering P/N FL3T-19A095-AD originally was a Ford Sevice P/N FL3Z-19A095-D which subsequently was replaced by Ford Service P/N NL1Z-19A095-B.

To ensure you get the correct part make sure to give your VIN to the parts supplier. @AppleFordParts has been very good to many on the forum.

Can you just crimp a new lug on the end of that strap and just bolt it back up ?

Small flat braided straps are typically for RF noise suppression. More surface area. Putting a lug on it is fine.

If you cut it just at the end, you can just add a new end connector to it.
Even if its just one of the smaller copper type battery cable lug ends....

As stated, if you cut just the end off, should still be plenty long.

Pull back the insulation & crimp on, hammer on, a new end & call it done.

The code written on most parts is just an engineering code, valuable to Ford internally but useless for referencing parts. Ford is really bad at not listing actual part numbers on parts.
