Default Grill Install

How long should it take to remove the 5 bar and put in the 3 bar. Trying to decide if I should start this tonight. Thanks in advance.

I would say give yourself about 3 hours taking your time. What takes the longest is the swapping the shutters over to the new grill

Three hours?!? I think there's a video for installing the light bar that says it takes like an hour. It all seems very simple

That's "Taking" your time and first time taking the grill off...it's the swapping of the "shutters" that takes the longest. Making sure you put all the screws back where they came from to the new grill. I admit I got frustrated here and there. But since I know "how to" now it'll take me an hour to do it. Here is a pic of the chrome XLT grill to the 5 bar chrome grill

took me an hour and 10 minutes my first time but that was wiring up the lights for the raptor grille. 2nd time I did to take it off to paint the letters it only took me 45 minutes to take it out and put it back on

Good question. I will like to know also. I am changing my chrome five bar to a painted lariat 3 bar. Also, while changing the emblem over to the new one I will be taking apart the emblem and painting it. I believe that will take the longest time.

Took me a little over an hour. Easy and straight forward job, just make sure you don't scratch your headlight doors.

It took almost 3 hours. It was a bitch but I hate doing this kind of stuff.
