I was pissed and worried my truck would be toast but it survived unscathed. I now have more faith in the aluminum body.

Good to know. That's my fear, too!

Glad to know yours is okay, mine didn't fare too well in the storm. The first one, which hit around 4am, was quarter sized and may not have done too much damage. But the second storm, which rolled in around 7am, was golf ball sized and tore my truck up.

I had $6000 damage one time in 2009. 2008 GMC 1500, 30 days in the shop (there were thousands of cars damaged in the storm). I pay the insurance extra for a nice rental...it paid off that time.

Had our third hail storm (since I started this thread) yesterday evening and still no dents/hail damage. The storm yesterday was as bad as the one in my OP.

I'm in Frisco - I pulled into my garage at home at 5:40 and not 30 seconds later, hail POUNDED our house... fortunately it was pea size (a few almost ping pong *****).. my sons 2012 F150 was out front - I see a few dings if you look hard...

Just glad my 2015 got in the garage in time!! Over the hail in DFW!!!

Just bought my truck a week ago and now we're getting golf ball sized hail here in San Antonio... Tried to pull it into the garage and that's a no go, sticks out a little bit. Got hit by a few and haven't noticed any damage so far.

Hope that's the last of it.

hope so! good thing about the aluminum is it's a little more dent resistant than the standard sheet metal...

This was pretty much just down the street from you. Glad to hear the aluminum is tougher than I thought though.
