Default Gorilla Lug Nuts

Finally installed my Gorilla lug nuts! Very happy with them. I did the swap with the truck on the ground doing 2 at a time. I torqued all lugs to 150 foot pounds using a click style torque wrench.

My wheels appear to be identical to yours except for the center hub. I need to replace my OEM lug nuts. I was thinking black Gorilla Nuts would look good with these wheels and all the black trim and effects on my 2016 Scab. Mine are 20 inch wheels. I haven’t been able to find anything that leads me to the exact nuts I need. Do you think the ones you ordered will work on my wheels? Thanks.

Check the torque after you've driven it a bit just to have a warm fuzzy feeling that they are still equal among the 6.

They look nice. Hope you have better luck with those than I did with the chrome version. Mine started showing rust at six months & I don`t even drive the truck very often. I switched mine out for a set of Mcgards. More expensive, but it`s been over a year & they still look new. YMMV

I hear the gorillas are fine if you’re in an area where they don’t salt the roads. Hopefully the op is in a salt free area.

I put a new take off oem set on when mine were bulging cause they were only $20. I’ll go with McGard in the future if needed.

I ordered McGard first and returned them because the smaller overall size (and not fitting the OEM lug wrench) were both deal breakers. But it's a personal preference.

I always see mixed reviews on the Gorillas. Personally, mine have been installed for about a year and a half with zero signs of rusting but there isn't road salt where I live. So far, I'm happy.

Kenv, do you live in an area where they salt the roads. Or go you drive on beaches a lot? I don’t live where snow and salt is an issue.

I’m not sure why they would rust. I need to replace my OEM “swellies” and I’m trying to make sense out of all of this.

I need some nuts for these factory alloys.

Thanks.

Typically it is winter salt environment like the Northeast. Haven't seen anyone mention the corrosion from near the beach.

The Gorilla lugs will work with your wheels. Gorilla 61148X. Many buy from here but I bought mine on ebay.

I went with the Gorilla because the factory wrench fits, and they look most similar to factory in size (proper overall size within the wheel). I did not like how the McGard looked (and they are the wrong wrench size) so I returned them.
