Did you lease a similar truck, is that what you are saying?
No. I saw on the second page of pricing details it showed leasing particulars, so I assumed that that was directed at you.

WRONG..
She is an artist and always need to haul paintings around, some of them too big for her Chevy Volt hatch back.
Now we need the tonneau back on: Factory price $995 and almost waterproof.
Is there better stuff after market, or dealer installed? OR should I go for the 5th edition of this Build and have uncle Ford do the instal at the factory.?
Thx gents,
Hotly debated topic. I'm in a similar situation and decided to wait. Although I haven't seen a good comparison yet, I decided to wait until I have the truck in hand and look at the various covers with my own eyes. I'm not seeing anything about the Ford cover that would indicate any advantage buying with the truck beyond being able to roll it into financing. Buying some of these options with the truck seems to run a 10-25% price premium vs buying on the open market.

Right now I'm leaning towards the hard rollups that sit on top of the rails rolled up vs a rollup into a box. Looks like I'll have to fabricate my own quick disconnect if I want to remove it without tools though.

So I ordered my truck with 20” wheels. The Ford Build/status page shows this:
  • 18-inch Chrome-Like PVD Wheels
WTF..?
Caleld the dealer, they don’t get it either as they put in for the 20” wheels.

fix it or cancel I guess.

It might just be that the 18" wheels were the stardard configuration. The 20s will be upgraded later. Just guessing.

If the truck comes with 18s, have the dealer swap it out for 20s with another truck on the lot

Ask the dealer for a copy of the Dora (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) that is exactly what was submitted to Ford to see what rims are on the order

Swapping 18”s for 20”s May screw up the speedometer and other stuff, or can it be configured any time?

The wheel size will not effect the speedometer, the tire diameter does, regardless its an easy fix with Forscan and a $20 adapter.

Just now checked the tire and wheel sizes, 18 vs 20:
The 18” are bigger all around because they are 65 vs 55.
Screwed again, I wanted 20” wheels so the truck sits higher off the ground, we have local flooding in my neighborhood
and I need a “tall” truck.
So much for that idea, the 18” tires are 32.1” and the 20”s are 31.9”.
Wonder if I can ask Ford to mount 275/65r/20s without causing the whole system of bureaucracy to collapse.
Also I noted now that the 4x4s have all terrain tires, probably noisy on the highway and my truck will never be off-road if I can help it. (4x4 and Max towing to haul boats, not to go off-road.. Will ask dealer to get the tires I need.
How hard can it be...?
