Got my cluster swapped this week. Had Anthony @ CarCorrection update the mileage for me. Everything went very smooth.
One issue I'm having is that my speedometer needle is not completely accurate. The cluster I got came out of Canada so I had to get a new overlay from Speedo on eBay. At 0, the needle is correct, but as I go faster, it gets further and further off. I think it is now roughly 2 MPH slower than the digital when doing 70-80 MPH. Anybody else have this problem or got any ideas?
Thanks!

So I talked to my dealership Friday and was treated with so much disrespect and attitude, it was unbelievable. (I figured I would talk to them, since I had already been charged to reprogram the cluster, before I ordered the adapter for FORScan.) When I took my truck in the first time, they had told me they were getting warnings when they went to load in the as-built data and were not going to be liable if something went wrong. They were very nervous about the fact it was a Canadian truck and kept bringing that up. They told me to talk to ford. Even though I thought that seemed ridiculous that a customer would talk to Ford to figure out a problem instead of them, I went ahead and did email Ford and told them the whole situation. They informed me just like yall that it is not an issue to load the as-built data and gave me basically a step by step procedure on what to do. I went back to my dealer and showed them the email. I was very respectful and said that I had done what they said and could we try to get my cluster working now. Long story short they are sending me the money back they charged me originally to program it and said don't call us again, find another dealer. They tried to feed me a couple lines of complete BS and once I showed them I knew what I was talking about or at least had done research into it, they wanted nothing to do with me. Is this how dealerships treat people?! I have always been a DIY guy when it comes to maintenance and repair on trucks and this was the first time I had dealt with a dealer, how do people survive that dont have at least some knowledge about vehicles.

When I bought my 8" cluster, I approached the SM at my dealer because we have a good relationship. I explained what I was doing and what I wanted them to do. He understood, but said that the dealers hands are tied when it comes to this. He said the only way they could touch a cluster swap is if you are swapping the same for the same. Then, THEY would have to remove the cluster, send it to the factory and have them transfer the info from the old to the new. Your truck would have to sit there while your cluster was at the factory, about two weeks. When the new cluster came back they would install it. He told me no way could they touch it if you do the work yourself, or trying to put something other than what your truck already has. Whether or not this is true, it is the story I got from them.

I had the same issue. What I did was drive until the digital speedometer read 60 then noted where the needle was. Once I stopped I removed the needle by gently pulling straight up and placed it to the difference from where it was originally to where the needle would be to read correctly at 60. Seems to have done the trick (hope that made sense )
I'm wondering if the overlay I bought is not spaced right. Does anybody know of a ford factory overlay I can get?

That being said, I'm very curious how Anthony is able to program them if the dealer cannot. Or, as I'm more inclined to believe, are they able to but won't because of liability?

@sbohl15a I originally quoted you the wrong website to get your trucks asbuilt data codes... you can get them from https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
If you have never been to the site before, it will default back to the main page where you will need to select your country, then just re-click on this link and it will take you to the page to enter your VIN and get your downloadable data file
