I think the ride of my FX4 is fantastic. Absolutely zero complaints.

IMHO a firm suspension is a good thing new as it will loosen up with time anyway.

You need to test drive both and decide for yourself. Make sure the tire pressures are not overinflated as many of the trucks are delivered with extra air.

Pecked out on my iPhone.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure people have posted the part numbers on here and there's no difference between the two suspension wise. Just marketing. To those saying the FX4 rides stiff, is this your first truck?

I have no death wobble, you have something else wrong under there. You should get it looked at...... how you haven't had that addressed already is really something special.

This! I picked up by truck and just figured the ride would be a little stiff compared to my Accord and never gave the rough ride a second thought. I was fiddling through the different options and came across the PSI screen and my front and rear tires were inflated to 46psi! Once the tires cooled and I set them to 37psi, the truck felt like a Cadillac, even with the Fox 2.0 rear shocks I swapped for the FX4 shocks.

I would not want the fx4 if i didn't need it but with that said my brother recently bought a new super crew xlt fx4. It rides at least as good as my Platty. It has 18" wheels though vs my 20".

I'd go to the dealer and judge for yourself how it feels. Scope out some pothole filled roads and some RR tracks and try to swing it by there. I find it sends divots straight to the cab while softer, full-cab bouncing over RR tracks. (Might be more related to my speed in this situations though...)

I don't quite have an apples to apples experience, but I do notice my dad's non fx4 truck rides a little smoother (nearly identical otherwise) but I attribute this to the LT tires mine has vs his p-metric tires. And honestly the difference isn't much and I still like the ride of my truck, and this is coming from a guy who's other ride is a 90s Buick because the new Buicks ride too stiff. ☺️
