Hooking up a dash cam, what fuses are safe to use as a ON only when driving, and off when parked, theres so many In pretty much confused, Thanks in advance.

Don't know what model you have but you can get "keyed" power +&- from the rear sliding window switch in the overhead council

On my truck I believe #37 is hot with ignition, and unused. Only one side has a socket.

#37 will hang on for a few minutes after you turn your truck off... maybe ~2-3minutes. I never timed it...

#37 hot on ignition, #5 hot all the time. I use a rexing v1p ( usless for keeping time and date accurate) It was wired to # 37 but would lose 2 days a week in time due to the AS/S on and off all the time. Wired it to #5 and hasnt lost a second.

I think it is a user-settable parameter. My cigarette lighter/auxiliary power outlets are live for 30 minutes.
