Default Fuse description question.

Fuse assignment in the Power distribution box inside the engine compartment for MY 2020.

#36 - 10A - Vehicle power 3

I could not find the explanation in the manual.
What does Vehicle power 3 refer to?

Also, when there is an opening slot with no fuse installed and the manual says “not used”, can I actually make use of it and hook up like an LED light accessory unit to it as the power source?

Thanks

Should be the fuse for the center console rear location.
See page 175, and 176, location F power point, in Owner Manual.
Don't know about using vacant fuse slots.

If its not used, it may not have any contacts underneath for you to plug in a fuse into. You may need to pop up the fuse box and provide your own wiring to use fuse slots that are not used.

So the power point refers to
an area in the fuse box?

Not sure of the contacts are in there or not. You will need to check that. The power point refers to the power sockets (12 volt cigarette port power outlets...) Power 3 is the position on the back of the center console. There is also one on the dash and there is also one inside the center console. Not sure what number those are labeled.

I think the dash is position 1, the one inside the console is position 2, and the one of the back of the console is position 3. The fuse box labels them position 1, 2, and 3 so you know which fuse you are removing/replacing and what their corresponding socket is. Clear as mud? LOL

"Power point" means a place you can plug in an external device that requires vehicle power. Phone chargers or radar detectors are examples.

A) Look. B) If you can't tell by looking, plug something into that slot or used a tester to see if it has power.

F36 runs some of the stuff under the hood. F51 supplies power to the rear seat power point.
