Fuse for dash cam

Default Fuse for dash cam

The fuses for the dash cam have 2 prongs
but every fuse I pull has 3 prongs?
what did y’all do?

all of the fuses I checked were micro3 style

I assume you are looking at the BCM fuses (behind passenger side kick panel). Don't know what year your truck is since you have not provided any information, but there are both dual circuit fuses and single circuit fuses and shown below.

There is probably 20 or more threads on this forum discussing which fuses to use assuming you are planning to use an Add-a-fuse. Are you looking for constant battery power, ignition switched power, or both?

2018 f150
constant would be great
i would either add a fuse
or use an unused slot
am looking at the wrong fuses?
any ideas?

I sure wish the search function worked better

I used fuse 36 It is a regular mini2 I think and it covers things like rear heated seats and 360 camera so in most trucks it's underused.

if you have an overhead console stay up there and get your power no need to run around the edge of the window Moulding
