Fuel injector failure
We were on the home stretch of our Yellowstone camping trip when the check engine light came on and engine stalled on our 2020 with 3.5. Since we were pulling a 5th wheel, we had to drop it and have the truck towed. The analysis was a bad #6 fuel injector and consequently O ring failure on all other injectors. Since the truck only has 13k, I am a bit disappointed and was wondering if this is an issue others have experienced. I am losing confidence in my truck.

It’s interesting that the orings failed on all the other injectors. They normally do not fail from the engine environment and fluids. Failures can occur due to damage during in assembly and disassembly.

They have made repairs and I’m traveling 6 hours one way tomorrow to pick up my truck and fifth wheeler. I am hoping for an event less trip home. I am really disappointed in having an issue with a truck that has 13,500 mi. Shouldn’t happen.
A random injector failing with only 13K sure it could happen. All other O-Rings failing at the same time i would go on a limb and say impossible. What might be the case is that the dealer wanted to change all the O-Rings on the other injectors to ensure a good seal after needing to remove the fuel rail from all the injectors in order to change the one bad injector.

Unfortunate for sure, but that's what warranty is for. There are going to be failures every once and a while. I just spoke to my rental equipment rep, he just got a new F150, his 2011 Ecoboost 3.5L had 523,000km. He only started having trouble in the last 23,000km, that's why he ordered a new one.
Got the truck. Just ran 4 yrs pulling the fifth wheel with no issue. One bad injector but they replaced all the o rings mostly because they came in a kit and it was already torn down. I’ll mark it off as just a freak bad part and try to put it out of my mind. Thanks everyone for the replies and advice.
