Combustibles will work as well. If they didn't wouldn't have all these environmentals converting their vehicles to run on fryer oil.

I run 91 or 93 in my 5.0 after reading about lots of pinging on this sight.

TLDR 87 is fine though might knock. 91+ recommended.

I have put premium (90) which is what is offered here in Anchorage since I bought my 3.5 EcoBoost in 2015 . Knowing it's not needed or that a lower octane is an option .

I can't notice that much difference between 87 and 93. Maybe a bit smoother performance with 93.... maybe .... That said, I put in 93 only because with Covid and working from home, I'm not driving much, so why not. If I was a high mileage commuter, I'd probably go with 87...
