Default Frozen NAV unit

Drove home from work this morning and everything was fine. Get in the truck this evening to come to work, radio comes on and everything appears to be fine. I get to the entrance to the subdivision and I noticed that the NAV screen hasn't moved any. Touch the screen to go full screen and nothing happens. Touch the NAV button at the bottom of the screen and nothing again. Drive to work, and shut the truck off, open and close door and let everything power down. Start truck again and it's still frozen. Do a master reset on the radio and reboot it and still nothing. The screen is still frozen as far as the NAV goes. Everything else seems to be working fine, but after the master reset, I lost the climate control screen. I'm at work so I can't check anything, but I did noticed when I walked away from the truck, it looked like the radio was still backlit, even though everything was off. This is on a 2016 F150 Lariat 501a packaged truck with factory setup. Radio is running v3 on Sync 3 system with Forscan changes to show the heated/cooled seats icons and a different startup screen than the original Ford startup screen. Thanks for any help.

Not sure what the deal was. Just went out and started the truck and everything is working fine now. Must be the Ford gremlins at work again.

My 2016 did the same thing. I turned the truck off, got out, locked the doors, and the screen was still backlit with the radio playing. I had to disconnect the battery.

This is the beginning of the APIM going bad...same symptom on mine and now nothing works....trying to get new APIM but need to go through the process with Ford. Button response slow to not reposnsive, Bluetooth will eventually fade and with have intermittent connectivity, and the GPS now does not work.

yesterday they did a "hard" software update that cost me 120 to do....apparently they have to pay ford for this...that's stupid. Service told me that this solves the issue....well it did not and I told them is wouldn't. Called last evening as soon as I got home and said nothing works...no GPS, very slow response time and actually never tried to tie a phone to the Bluetooth cause I new it was a waste of time...now I will be goin in next week for them to pull the codes. I said going in...I need a new APIM, but they have a process Ford requires.

Yea the process is flawed IMO with APIMs but we have to try a hard reset and update first

what are the codes that they are pulling, cause they said when they "tested" it first thing yesterday it apparently did not show any code that was reflective of a bad unit.
