Froze
Same here. Had the original recall done last year, second recall done last week and my driver door continues to freeze up whenever it gets below freezing. Back in the shop today and I am very tempted to ditch the truck and look for something else.
Did you guys read this thread and the post #2 and the updated post #549?

Few of us have had the dealer do this fix because there is apparently a fix to try beforehand on your own. Many have found this 'home made' fix successful.

I don't really have this problem but, I was wondering if this issue has more to do with the cable that runs to the latch rather than the latch or a possible combination of the two? Or is it just that the latches attract moisture and the simple fix for it is to lube the latches. I know that I've had a similar problem with the latch when the 'plug' that holds down the cable to the door skin, running from the outside to the inside of the door came loose. With this issue, opening the door using the inside handle would not allow the door latch to reset and when you went to close the door, it wouldn't latch until you pulled on the outside handle as if you were opening the door. Doing that, would reset the latch and the door would close normally.
As far as the cable goes, maybe they don't work to well in cold weather as maybe they stiffen causing a restriction. Maybe Ford should have cables containing graphite so that the wire would slide more freely. It doesn't take much for the cable to malfunction from my experience. Anyway, just being speculative.
