Exclamation Frost/Ice On The Front Windshield

These past few mornings here in WI its gotten well below 32°F and I have frost/ice on my front windshield.

I get in the truck and I am greeted with the front camera is unavailable and the next message is Collision Assist is unavailable.

I am guessing this is because there is frost/ice on the camera lens on the top of the windshield, behind the rear view mirror?

Once the window is free of frost/ice, does the collision assist become available once again?

My F-150 sits outside all of the time and it is a bugger to scrape frost off of the windshield., plus the constant pop ups telling me the collision prevention system is inactive due to the frost.
I found a windshield cover at local Walmart that is the best $17.00 I ever wasted money on. Has flaps that goes in between the door and the pillar to hold it in place.

Yeah, get that camera/collision assist message a lot in the winter. I've bought the longest ice scraper I can find with a brush on the end for the snow. If not in a hurry I'll hit the auto-start on the key fob from in the house to let it warm up a little which makes scraping ice immensley easier.

Spray with Prestone De-Icer, it helps prevent icing as well as melts existing ice / frost.........

and change out washer fluid to Prestone De-Icer for winter, great stuff.

Nice! I am going to go buy that after work today as it is showing in stock at my Wal-Mart across the street.

Definitely not new to winter as I lived in IL almost all my life. New to winter in my '20 Lariat...

I just use the orange Rain-X windshield fluid and put it in spray bottle. It works quick and you won’t ruin your wipers. No scraping necessary.

Just. breathing on the cold mirror will do it, not necessarily the window.
