Front view camera
1. Remove the radio from the dash to gain access to the connectors at the back of the radio
2. Plug included harness into the back of the radio and connect factory connectors into opposite end of included T-harness
3. Connect Lockpick to included harness
4. Drill a 3/8" hole in the top center of your grille and surface mount the camera
5. Route the harness into the cab penetrating through the rubber grommet in the firewall that is next to your brake booster
6. Connect camera red wire (positive) to front camera power input on lockpick
7. Connect camera black wire (ground) to lockpick ground output wire
8. Connect camera RCA video to front camera input on Lockpick
9. Turn on the truck to commence programming. Once programming is complete enter the menu and set desired configuration for front camera; i.e. auto on under 7mph or manual only
10. Test and reassemble
NOTE: the instructions do not give step by step dash panel removal instructions as there are several different flavors out there. The big picture is that you need a small plastic trim removal tool and a set of sockets. YouTube can be a great resource for gaining the basics and then you just dive in from there. Pro installers are very familiar with dash disassembly and can also be a great resource, hence why we recommend professional installation.
