Default Front License plate

For those who have a front License plate, did you move it to the passenger side? I heard it reduces/blocks your cooling. Is this true and did you notice a difference if you moved it?

Didn't move it, doesn't block anything.

I've had front vanity plates on both my 2012 EcoBoost and my 2018 EcoBoost - no issues whatsoever even in extended idling

No issues with mine. I'm comfortable the Ford engineers know more about the airflow around the plate than somebody on the internet that posts a wild theory it blocks enough air to cause a problem.

Thanks for the replies. I was very curious with everyone talking about the heat soak.

Are you required to run a front plate in your state?

I moved mine off to the driver side on my Gen2 Raptor. It says in the Raptor supplement of the owners Manual: For best performance off road remove front license plate. So if that's the case I want the best performance on and off road.

I’ll be checking my manual later, thanks for the idea.
