The saying it’s just a truck is stupid. There’s a big different between a platinum and a 2wd regular cab work truck.
Eh, there is no "big difference" between them. If I had the opportunity to buy....

3.5L, XL 2wd with 3:55 5.5ft bed .... and a 3.5L, plat 2wd w/ 3:55 5.5ft bed..... whats the difference?.... interior luxuries only. Your comparison is flawed.

Our vehicles, yours and mine, are pretty much the same. Frame, cab, bed, axle, brake materials, etc. You pay more for creature comforts, 17's vs 18's vs 20's ... a v8 or v6, trans is the same regardless of trim, leather vs cloth, sunroof vs no sunroof, center seat vs center console, 4 door vs 2 door....

all that added electronics will break at some point and will be more expensive to replace or repair as opposed to a plain jane without those.

It doesn’t matter. That’s your opinion, I have mine. No sense in wasting time going back and forth.

You jumped in real early in the post count with such an uninformed comment. How does "recycled steel" prevent one from properly fixing or painting a bumper?
