Default Front Bumper Question

Hello,

I'm looking at installing some additional LED Lights to the front of my truck for better visibility offloading.

In the picture attached below you can see two locations I have highlighted in Yellow, What is the purpose of those? and can i cut into them to add flush mounted LED's Not sure if there are sensors behind there or they are just there for looks

Also whats the best way to take them off to cut into them?

Any help is appreciated. Thank You!

Not sure what is behind them, I do know replacements are cheap. Grill looks good on your truck.

Here's a link to a set on Ebay from a Ford dealer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2017-F....c100005.m1851

I think adaptive cruise sensors, if equipped, are behind one of them (driver side?). Could be wrong.

The bumper plates where the bumper is bolted to the frame, don't think you'll have room for any lighting

Heres a pic of when I had mine off. They are just held on with clips and a few tabs. You just have to be careful not to scratch your paint when putting a tool in to pry them off the tabs. Behind is just where the bolts are that hold the bumper on are located. You could run a wire through there if I remember right. Just pop them off and look. I know I’ve seen others that have installed lights there.
