A fold up bedcover is not $1,500. Figure 1/2 of that. Go configure one yourself. My Extang Encore cost me $749.95 3 years ago. Dealer cost even less.
I was going to say the same. Tank of gas is on the invoice.

If they "threw it in" that means there was more meat on the bone you could have stripped out of the deal.

Nothing is free, the Dealership doesn't keep the doors open giving things away.
I consider these things free when after you have got the price you are happy with and then have them throw in the goodies at no added cost...

Everyone negotiates different.

I agree the gas is probably a given that you pay for that.

I don't know of any freebies I got but I'm still bummed that I forgot to clean out about $5 worth of loose change in the ashtray of my trade in. I guess some detail guy had a happy meal on me!

I got a free bottle of water while waiting on the F&I guy, however, they couldn't figure out how to get me change of a $20 to buy my starving kid a snack in their machines.

I beat my dealer into the ground so bad on price, they threw in free wheel locks.

Only because they didn't want to waste the labor to remove them. lol
I felt bad asking them for anything else. I have cash for mods now though...

This x1000.

Also, asking for "freebies" just before signing the final paperwork on a deal you already had in place, vehicle cleaned and ready to go, is low. Even lower is using a bad customer satisfaction survey as leverage for "freebies". Seen both situations happen too often.

Winter floor mats, spray in bedliner and laser-cut 3M film on the front of my hood, bumper and all around the headlights etc.

Call it want you want... I would say free because they added and installed them to the truck after the fact. These items were not on the truck on the lot.

Don't be jealous...

Same here, went for a very low price with no freebies, 9k under sticker price so I have enough money to spend on some accesories
