Default Frame Rust

Brand new 2019 F150 with less than 5000 miles in the South. Has not seen a winter anywhere yet.
I am seeing rust on many places on the frame and underbody.
Is this just me or is anyone else encountering this as well?

None of that appears to be frame rust, looks more like the rear suspension/differential which typically does wind up getting slight surface rust over time depending on the weather and humidity in ur area

That is Ford normal my dude so you might as well get used to it. I made a thread similar to yours about my '18 since I was completely taken back by it. It sat in my driveway for a few months before being used and it was all rusty. My GM trucks never did that crap, so I have a difficult time accepting it as normal. A lot of folks on here seem not to care and stick up for it for some reason.

Take a wire brush to it and spray with a Rustoleum color of your choice. The comments above are correct for any new vehicle that's been in the environment.

POR15 is the answer if you are worried about it. Paint right Over the Rust. What you are seeing is normal.

Totally normal, and the axle housing will get much rustier, so prepare yourself :p

GM trucks just have the brake lines rust out.

And every GM truck I've ever seen had surface rust on the axle and suspension components as well. None of them paint that stuff, they haven't for decades.
