Default Fox shocks question

Fox 2.0 vs fox 2.5 vs fox 2.5 with remote reservoirs? Thoughts reviews opinions? I dont do heavy off-road but if I do I like to get it loose a bit. Trying to decide which is best for mainly on road but when I get the itch to go a little wild in the dirt.

I had 2.5 resi's on my 15 F250....best riding 4wd I've ever been in. I had a bunch of other suspension stuff to go with it but the shocks really shined.

I have the 2.5 with remote reservoir up front and 2.0 in the rear. Can't compare to the others but love my setup. I also like the fact that I can adjust mine while on the truck. I believe the 2.0 are darn near impossible to adjust while on the truck.

Any issues with clearing 35's? Considering this set up, but I'm concerned I'd need to go with 4" coilovers for enough clearance.

Resi's won't have an impact on the ride, they are just extra oil and cooling. Remote adjusters allow for valve adjustments but that's additional cost.

In reality, you'll have a tough time overdriving the 2.5s especially if it's mostly a pavement pounder. If you are overdriving 2.5s, you need to think about more travel and larger shocks vs just resi's.

Driving too fast for the shocks to compensate - typically results in bottoming out, loss of control, roll overs, etc...

oh oh yeah none of that lol. More like occasional off-road but not stupid high speeds. Learned my lesson at an early age and a long travel ranger I had 🤦🏽*♂️
