The overall ride doesn't really change much. In other words it doesn't seem any softer or harsher compared to stock. The difference to me is the rear end is much more stable over rough road surfaces if that makes sense.

Yeah I suppose that's the difference I am referring to. More stability in the rear. That's the only ride improvement I would like to see, otherwise IMO the truck does ride good (considering the crappy roads we have here). We have several roads here that buckle from the heat and it creates a "speed bump". When I hit these, especially while accelerating it will side hop bad. I already scare the hell out of my passengers with the way I drive sometimes lol. When I do a side hop they reach for the "oh sh*t handle".

I'm pretty sure you'll be happy to lose the butt pucker hop once you've installed the new shocks. I know I was. Let us know how it works out.

I live on dirt roads and the stock FX4 shocks kinda suck on some of the deep ruts and washboards I drive over all the time. Mostly its the rear end bouncing all over the place. I am thinking of upgrading to the Fox 2.0 rear shocks too since they are also on sale right now but I am a little worried about towing with them. I tow a 8,000lbs 34' travel trailer and I dont know if these fox 2.0 shocks are really meant for heavy towing. Has anyone towed heavy loads with these shocks before? How do they handle when towing?

Anyone try the Icon 2.0 Aluminum Series? Price is $167.95 each, on the Icon website. I have a stock 2016 FX4 Plat - no lift. I don't think I need the 2.5. Also, will this affect my warranty as a "suspension modification?" Thanks Edit: I couldn't stop myself... Just ordered them - $335.90
Update: "We're currently out of stock of this part but have more coming back into stock early next week. So your order should ship by Tuesday 9/27. Sorry for the delay"

Memphishaze if your dealer gives you grief about changing the rears, its time for you to change dealers. There are a few here that have the icons and love them, probably very similar to the fox 2.0s.
