Default Fox 2.0 are mounted

Hey yall,

I just got my fox 2.0 shocks installed on the rear. I am in Panama city and getting hit by a hurricane at the moment so can't really test em out yet. My truck definitely feels more planted now. Before, the rear end was all over on bumps. I have read the other threads here with people having the same issue.

I noticed they mounted them with the body on the bottom side and the rod on top. Is this okay?

Also had a borla xr-1 welded I'm today to replace the boat anchor muffler and sounds nice and deep now without being loud. Left the resonator on.

Once I can hit the trails I will update more on the shocks but already can tell an improvement. Stiffer but more graceful lol.

They can be mounted either way since they are nitrogen charged instead of hydraulic shocks

Awesome thanks for the info. I was sure it was fine just wanted to double check. If these rear shocks help enough I may not need the adjustable coilovers. When I had the 1.5" level installed the handling got worse. This seems to have helped that. If I have to, I will do adjustable coilovers and remove the level but coilovers and UAC's are expensive! Especially with another baby on the way.

Just to offer up a little more information, they can be mounted either way because they are a mono-tube design not just because they are gas filled.

That's the way mine are, I added the Fox shaft guards to protect them!

Wow I love them so far. The truck takes turns way better and feels safer over bumps. Are the stock fx4 shocks really that bad?

Mine rides sooo much better in the rear. I also had my 6" lift installed with them so I thought it would ride worse than before with the stock shocks, but it rides sooo much better with these. so much more planted and the rear end does not hop all over on the highway

Are Fox 2.0 the best / most popular shock to upgrade the rear with? Where are you guys finding the best deals?

I like that shaft guard idea also! Good idea!
