this is everything bms related in the spreadsheet for the bcm. what exactly are you trying to accomplish? you could reload the factory as built and only have it write those spots for 726-04 -> 726-07 and that will set everything back to factory settings.

Little confused by your question...

are you referring to the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) reset procedure available in FORScan that should be performed when a battery has been replaced?
Attached Files
File Type: pdf

Thank you, for the quick reply. I apologize for the confusion, yes, I was referring to the Battery Monitoring System. I will connect FORscan today and do the procedure that you sent and report back.

Much appreciated.

tmcolegr,

I went through the procedure you sent me and I keep get an error message " Service Procedure Has Been Interrupted " I get a ding sound and it stops no other message. Obviously I must be doing something wrong? It seemed pretty simple after you sent me the pdf file. but no joy. Maybe I should charge the battery and let it sit for 8 hrs?
Thank you,
Sal

never have run into that issue before. If you continue to have problems, you may want to post in the FORScan sticky

The one thing I didn't do was let the vehicle sit for about 30 minuets before trying to reset the Battery Monitor System, I did close the doors and waited for the interior lights to go off, maybe something else was powered up and would not the battery reset? I might give that a try, if that works I will let you know.Thank you, for all your help.

So any luck on getting BMS to reset?

I replaced my battery with an Optima Red the middle of December. Unfortunately, I also sparked the positive cable not realizing that I hadn't tightened it down. This resulted in my Power Running Board module getting screwed up.
Didn't experience any problems other than that.
Ordered a new PWB module and installed it Friday, today (Sunday) I take a 30 minute drive and when I get home I get the dreaded BMS message.

Here is from an earlier post that I found using a Google Search:

How to reset your BMS:
Procedure must be carried out within 10 seconds:
  1. Switch ignition on (engine off)
  2. Pull and release high beam 5 times.
  3. Press and release brake pedal 3 times.
  4. If successful the battery light will flash 3 times within the next 15 seconds 5. BMS reset completed.

Yeah, I've seen that as well as this:
https://www.f150forum.com/f118/did-i...orscan-485962/
Which is the same with a few more steps neither of which worked.
Trying the 8 hour "with doors locked" routine again tonight.
Battery was reading 12.54 volts measured post to post and post to body ground.
