Default ForScan Hyperflash Fix

I currently have Led turn signal bulbs front and back and installed resistors. Im comtemplating on deleting the resisters because ive heard you can turn off the hyperflash by turning the bulb outage option off on ForScan.

Are their any ill effects to this? If not, I may disconnect and remove my resistors and do this.

I didn't use resistors with my tail/brake light LED bulbs and had the hyperflash in the dash. The bulbs themselves blink at normal rate. I made the change in Forscan to eliminate hyperflash and it stopped it but sometimes the flash and clicking sound that you hear when the blinker is on acts strange. It doesn't stay in constant tempo. It sounds like it speeds up and slows down at weird interval but not always. I hope that makes sense. Just so you know.

Maybe its because my front turn signals are still halogen bulbs. I'm waiting to change those to switchback bulbs when I finally get around to doing my HID retrofit.

Hmm. Interesting.

I as well didn't use resistors with my tail/brake light LED bulbs and have the hyperflash in the dash. The bulbs themselves blink at normal rate. I'm wondering if I decide to just live with the hyperflash in the dash, does it do any damage to anything? Also, do you know if it will change anything when I change out my halogen headlights and fog's for LED's?

The idea to the hyperflash is to let you know a bulb is burned out. So that is the negative to turning it off with Forscan. I've had mine turned off for several years using Forscan, I have no issues with it. I also check my lights to make sure they are working.

I used Forscan to eliminate the [cluster] hyperflash.
I too check my lights regularly.
The mod will have zero impact on other (non-flashing) LED upgrades.

I had the issue with my front turn signals. Resistors get really hot. There is no way I’d want to have them on my vehicle.

forscan for front turn signals:
BCM Module
726-27-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx

My blinkers work as they did before now. It’s easy to see if they aren’t working. Just unlock and look.

Yes that’s for the fronts.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I'm wondering if it will work on my wife's Expy. I know they are having a hard time getting the codes for that one for some reason.
Every code of the spreadsheet I got for my 2019 F150 worked great.
