Failure to do so may result in a hiccup during flashing, leaving you with an undriveable vehicle. And, the forscan crew makes it pretty clear that, if you b0rk your ride by not following the process to the letter, they will simply laugh at you.

2.3.44

OBD Link EX is 95 Canadian Ouch if its 45 US

I see they also support vlinker fs as well. Both are priced about the same

It's currently $49.95 on Amazon with a $5 coupon at the moment. 95 moose-bucks seems awful steep. I've got an EX and an MX... I bought the EX planning to flash my truck, since I couldn't get the dealer to actually do their jobs and flash my TCM to address a hard N/D engagement concern and hung 3/4 shift, but then they surprised me and, on the first visit of the Great Cam Phaser/Wastegate Rattle Debacle of 2021 (I'm only a little grumpy), they actually flashed every module up to current.

You must work at a dealership as you have all the docs and schematics

Thanks for the follow up. I've been having similar issues with my '21 Mustang GT. I can connect and read DTCs, but always get "service procedure interrupted" error message when writing changes to any module.

Latest version of forscan, same ELM adapter as you. Never had any previous issues with my F-150. Hoping the "run as admin" workaround does the trick for me.

I just received my VLINKER FS and it works great. Lower price and you need a laptop to use but great deal.
