With CarPlay and android I wouldn't bother when you can just use google maps.

I have the navigation. I also have a Garmin. After several search attempts only showed an address somewhere in Europe, I stopped trying. The factory nav requires the exact address.
I use the Garmin.

Worst hairday ever...
I have the factory nav, it's better than nothing, I guess. I use a smartphone more often than the Ford nav.

2016. I have the nav. I like it,. i find it quite good whether looking for poi or exact adress. Theres a learning curve to the coice commands, but once you get it figured out its super easy to makes changes or new destinations while on the roll.
Its not perfect, but i dont find any gps nav what i would call perfect. Worth the money to me. Ymmv.
Ps: carplay sucks badly. I tried it for a week and then disabled it. Its not sync thats the problem, its carplay. Sucks hard imho. No idea on android, dont have one.

The nav is fine. I don't know that it is worth the full cost, especially with CarPlay and Android Auto. I have only used my nav, in any vehicle I have had it, for actual navigation a handful of times. Where I find it useful is when I know I am coming up to a certain side street soon and I can see it on the map as I am going waaaaay earlier than I can read the road sign, so I know I won't miss it.
If it's cheap enough, it's almost worth it for that.
Not sure what the above posters issue is with CarPlay, mine has been fantastic. Apple Maps, which I dreaded having to use, is way improved over where it was a few years ago at launch. I use it for Spotify and Overcast every day and with very very rare exceptions it has never given me any issues.
Also, as far as Google Maps/Waze, they don't show on the screen, but you can use CarPlay for Spotify or whatever and still hear instructions from Waze/GMaps, which is good enough 99% of the time.

I rather use my phone's navigation but the factory nav is a good back up. I just dread the voice commands.
When I use it, i just type in the address manually.
The thing I like is on the home screen. It shows you everything around you with street names, restaurants, poi, etc. Even when not in navigation mode.

I have it and don't like it. My wife and son HATE it. We use our phones most of the time.
I'm not good with the voice stuff ... so that renders it useless most of the time. When I ask for the windshield wipers, my radio usually turns on.
Also, the screen is archaic. The images are poor definition and you can't scroll around(like on your phone). Or maybe you can, but it's SO BAD you can't? The zoom IN/OUT is slow and doesn't seem to help. IDK. It pretty much sucks.
My 2007 Ridgeline setup blows it away. The Ridge has a joystick you can scroll around and select stuff(amongst other things)
My 2015 Larry came with it. I prolly would have gotten it anyway because it prolly is bundled with other stuff you want.
