Yeah please keep us informed of the outcome. So us ford pass users will know what to do if we have that issue. The 5.0 I have is averaging now 19.8 mph and my 5.3 Sierra was a whopping 13.9.

OP has a TCU (Sync Connect) vehicle. The TCU has a sleep mode so as not to continually drain the battery. The remote and keypad should still work fine. Unlocking, locking, and remote starting from Fordpass will not work until you "wake-up" the TCU.

Only the phone options stop working after a number of predetermined days of not starting. If you remote start with the phone, it resets the clock. Everything else remains fine. Your key-fob will work fine, and everything else after a month, no worries.

This ^^^. Everything will work fine except using the app to start your truck. On the pre-Sync Connect vehicles, you could schedule a wakeup for the truck to receive the commands, it appears that the OP's app is not giving him that option.

The app is designed to communicate with the truck via cellular communications. If the truck is parked in an area with poor / no cellular communications, the app will never work. If the truck is in a good signal area, but you don't have cellular access where you are or the WiFi access where you are is spotty, you won't get the app to work.

If you're going to be away from the vehicle for extended periods of time, and the app doesn't have a wakeup feature, then you won't be using Remote Start. If it does have a wakeup feature, then simply set it to wakeup the day you're heading in, and you will have full access after the wakeup time.

Will the Key pad work?

I need to know what to do, so I can get in my truck Thursday morning for the several hour drive home.
Open the door.
Yes.
Yes.
See above.

At this point I am really regretting getting a new Ford. In 12 years of leaving my vehicle at the heliport for 21 to 28 days, this is the first time I have ever wondered about it starting and being able to drive home.

New truck was suppose to make this stress free. Never worried with the old GMC.
Owners manual covers multiple trims and years. Sync Connect is a late availability option.
Mountain out of a molehill here, Dave.
Stressing out over nothing. Ain't technology grand?

Not sure why. One tiny little hiccup and you have buyers remorse?

I told you the outcome. No remote app features (read: Sync connect) until he gets into his truck (with keyless entry!) and starts it. Remote will still work to lock and unlock the truck, and to start it if he has remote start.

Calm down people! This is a good feature that protects your battery from dying if you let the truck sit for extended periods of time.
