Ford Please Explain the Logic???
Why can you get the 20" wheels as an option/upgrade with the 2.7L engine on the XLT's.. but you CANNOT get the 20" wheel UPGRADE on the UPGRADED LARIAT with a 2.7L engine???
For the life of me cannot understand this? I've searched everywhere looking for an answer... Talking only about the 2.7L engine. You can get the 20's on a super crew XLT.. but you cannot get the 20's on a super crew lariat (both with 2.7 engine).

I just tried to build a 2.7/supercrew/lariat and add the 20's on ford.com.. and NOW it lets me... it has NEVER before allowed... nor have I ever seen a 2.7L Lariat with 20" wheels.... could be a fluke it's allowing as I can't find a lariat anywhere that's a 2.7 Lariat with 20's... I would think most people that want a lariat would want 20's?? or at least 1/2 of them (not looking to get into the whole 18's or 20's debate).. Just wondering why Ford isn't putting 20's on the 2.7L lariats...

I thought it was only 2015 Lariats that couldn't get the 20s with the 2.7 ecoboost. Just like the 502 package is now available on the 2.7 and wasn't in 2015. I would have gotten them if it was possible on mine.

Actually they changed their mind and you still can't get a 502A with the 2.7 no mater what size wheels you want.. Unless they changed it again..

Another interesting note found in my research:
1. You are limited to a 5000 lb. trailer tow limit from the hitch with or without the tow package if you DO NOT have a weight distributing hitch.
2. You are limited to 36 sq. ft. of exposed frontal area while towing without a trailer tow package. This includes the truck so no more than 6' x 6' of exposed surface to air resistance.

Anything to do with the towing package? I know some options only come with the 17" or 18" wheel option. It may be the MAX Trailer Tow Package.
